Pizza is loved by most people. This recipe comes to us by way of some loyal Tortured Orchard customers. This recipes inspiration came from what our farmers market had to offer Krista and Julien when they were shopping. It’s a refreshing light Pizza recipe utilizing many Summer veggies that are available to us this time of year from local CSA farm shares – don’t be afraid to make it your own and play with variations on toppings. Spiced Pinapple Zinger Pizza is a great quick dish on hot Summer nights, and perfect for last minute entertaining.
Tortured Orchards Spiced Pineapple Zinger – 1/2 -1 jar
Premade Pizza Crust – (1) In this recipe Berkshire Mountain Bakery Pizza Crusts were used
Tomato Sauce – 1/4 Cup (optional)
Spinach – 1 Cup
Summer Squash – 1/2 Cup
Cilantro – 2 Tbsp
Parmesan Cheese – 1 Cup
* Preheat your over to 425 degrees, while your oven is coming to temperature you will assemble your pizza
* On your pizza shell you will evenly spread out the Spiced Pineapple Zinger as if it were Tomato Sauce, you then can drizzle your tomato sauce evenly in the same fashion if your choose to use it. Pesto can also be added in this place.
* After washing and drying your spinach you will then spread it out evenly over the sauce, following with the cleaned and diced Summer Squash, chopped Cilantro and finishing with the cheese.
* Once your oven is hot, place your pizza directly on the oven rack, and cook for about 15-25 minutes depending on your ovens heat. All ovens are NOT calibrated evenly. When your cheese is melted and the crust is crispy your pizza is ready to be devoured.
