Grilled Ham and Cheese with Sweet Apple Blush

Here comes Fall. There is nothing better the smell in the air and the crunch of leaves under your feet. This sandwich can be enjoyed at Brunch, Lunch, or even Dinner. It even tastes like Fall, it’s a combination of my favorite things – bread, cheese, salty and sweet. I promise you will not be let down.

You’ll need:

Tortured Orchards Sweet Apple Blush – 1 jar

Sliced Sandwich Bread – We used Sourdough – 2 slices

Cheese – We used American two slices…but you have the opportunity to you use your cheese of choice. Some good options are :

Cheddar, Swiss, Brie, Camembert, Chevre, Havarti, or even Cream Cheese

Deli Ham – 3 slices (if you prefer Turkey, that’s equally delicious.)

Butter/Mayonnaise

Spatula

Butter Knife

Frying Pan

Stove

* Place your two pieces of bread on your cleaned counter. On each piece of bread place a piece of cheese.

*Next, layer with the ham and then about 1 heaping Tablespoon of Sweet Apple Blush.

* Place your frying pan on the stove, and turn on a low light. Close your sandwich and on the top piece of bread spread your Mayonnaise or Butter. Then place that side of the sandwich facedown in your pan first.

* When that side of the Sandwich is browned, using your spatula, carefully flip to the other side, until that side is browned to crunchy perfection.

*Allow it to cool for a moment so you don’t burn the roof of your mouth on the oozie cheese. Slice in half and devour. No tomato soup necessary!
