My Tuesday morning this week did not start off well. I was planning on attending my regular Tuesday market in Springfield (Farmers Market at The X) and as I was packing up my car and double checking that I had everything I needed I looked into my bag only to discover no wallet. NO Wallet? Where could it be? I went into a panic mode and looked everywhere, only about 30 minutes later to discover it had been tucked in between magazine pages of a magazine I had taken out of my bag to read later. Now living through what could have been awful, I moved on and happily got into my car to head to work. Upon getting to the market I was pleased with how quickly I opened my tent and was about to set up. I then opened my trunk to take out my table. NO table. Really Amanda?!? Yes, that’s correct. In the excitement of having “lost” my wallet I forgot to pack my table and am over an hour and half away, all set up with no way of backing out my car and heading to the nearest Target, I thought for sure I am screwed. But no, luck would have it another vendor was way more prepared then me and offered me an extra table they had had with them. SAVED!!! I was so overjoyed, I thought okay I am fine. And I was fine! the market was wonderful. I had so many return customers that had missed me while I was away, and made a lot of new friends and customers too.
Two gentlemen who were riding their bikes to the market I had invited over for tastings. They liked each one of the products so much they bought one of each! Two hours later they came back to the market and over to my booth. They had gone home and made lunch with two of my products and BROUGHT ME SOME BACK TO EAT! I was simply blown away by this. What a lovely gesture. People I had never met before thought enough of me to bring me lunch?!? That is one of the kindest things that has ever happened to me and I was so touched by this. Nice people are out there and they do exist. When I think of this and these nice people I just get such a smile on my face. This is what they made me!
