Boston Globe – “simple but versatile”
By Rachel Travers, Boston Globe
GARLIC BALSAMIC DRIZZLE, North Egremont
This simple but versatile jarred sauce comes from a small line produced in North Egremont by the mother-daughter team of Sandra and Amanda Walley of Tortured Orchard, so named because of the way their barren winter garden looks. Sandra is a vegetarian, her husband a diabetic, and Amanda is a devoted meat eater – and their goal was to create a sauce that would be enjoyed by all. This one, good as a glaze or a condiment, gets its sweetness from roasted garlic. $7.99 for 9 ounces at City Feed and Supply; . العاب فلوس حقيقية 99 at Savenor’s Market, 92 Kirkland Street, Cambridge, 617-576-6328, http://www.savenorsmarket.com
